Rolling Hills Elementary
Weekly Newsletter - 4/08/19
Hello RHE families,
I hope you had a great week. I want to thank Mrs. Jaffe, Mrs. Molden, Mr. Schmoyer, the staff volunteers (the list is extensive), the students, and the many parent volunteers who brought Peter Pan Jr. to life.
Thank you to the RHHSA for sponsoring the school play. It is truly a team effort and our partnership is greatly appreciated!
My favorite part of this production was seeing the kids become confident and proud of their role in the performance. I am so proud of the team and our children. The commitment they made from the first practice until the last show, the hard work involved while still maintaining their studies, and the relationships formed with each other throughout the entire process is what makes this such a worthwhile experience. The bonds and memories created will last a lifetime! Thank you again for your support and encouragement!

Clothing Drive - April 7th
On Sunday, April 7th from 9am-12pm, the RHHSA will be holding it's annual Spring Clothing Drive. Please donate your unwanted, gently used clothing, shoes/boots, coats, purses/wallets, belts, bedding/sheets, curtains, blankets/towels and even stuffed animals! Ask your friends, family and neighbors to consider donating too! Please bring all bagged items to Rolling Hills. We will be collecting behind the school at the bus circle. If possible, please use kitchen size bags and grocery bags, rather than paper bags or industrial size garbage bags, as they are easier to load onto the truck. All items help those in need and anything that cannot be used will be reused/ recycled. All proceeds benefit our school! If you would like to donate but cannot drop off that day, or for more information, please contact Erica Buchman ( firstname.lastname@example.org).
Congratulations: to our 5th and 6th grade cast and crew of Peter Pan Jr.! Your performances this week were truly amazing! A huge thank you to the 20 plus teachers and admin who put countless hours into making sure this show was a success. An additional shout out to the 30 plus parent volunteers who dedicated their time and talents.
Rolling Hills Home and School Association is thrilled to sponsor the play and support a well loved RHE tradition.
Son Plus Fun: Thank you to Julie Hamnett and Jess McNulty for organizing a great night out at the NAC! The event was very well attended and we thank those families that participated and enjoyed a fun night of activities!
Schoolwide Bingo - 4/12
On Friday, April 12th, Rolling Hills Elementary will be playing a school-wide BINGO game towards the end of the school day. Prizes will be awarded, and we have lots of them! We are hoping all students can bring 20 dimes in a zip-lock bag with their name on the outside. These dimes will be used as markers for our bingo game.
At the end of this fun event, all dimes will be collected and donated to Bucks County Homeless Education Initiative.
Please send your child’s bag of dimes in to school before Friday, April 12th.
Thank you so much for your support!

In addition to these 3 open positions we have also added an additional board position (VP Communications) to help more evenly distribute the responsibilities of the board.
This announcement serves as the official call for nominations for the following positions:

Treasurer-2 Year Term (2019-2021)
