Who is Leonardo Da Vinci?

Leonardo Da Vinci, profoundly known as an artist, was a leading figure of the Italian Renaissance. He was born on April 15th, 1452 in Vinci, Italy, and died May 2nd, 1512. He was the heart of the Italian Renaissance, most looked up to him as a leader. He was a true "Renaissance Man."

Why Was He Significant?

Leonardo Da Vinci was most known for his diverse skill set in arts and science. He was a painter, architect, engineer, mathematician, and a write. The biggest impact he had on he world was his paintings, specifically the Mona Lisa. The Mona Lisa is one of, if not the most popular painting in the history of art. This painting was thought to be the best by many, it inspired many young people and up-and-coming artists to pursue a career in the field of art.
