Fall Celebrations

Fall Awards Assembly

On the last day of school in December, we held our Fall Semester Awards Assembly! Each semester, students are recognized for being Most Outstanding and Most Improved in each of our courses. Our Honor Roll students are awarded with Bronze Wolf (3.0-3.49 GPA), Silver Wolf (3.5-3.74), and Gold Wolf (3.75-4.0) for the First Quarter. Students who had perfect attendance got an attendance award. Lastly, students in grades 10-12 who have a cumulative GPA of 4.0 earned the Principal's Honor Roll Award. Below are a few photos from the assembly.

Straight A Superstars!

Fall Semester Grades have been posted to transcripts and we want to celebrate all of our students who achieved A's in ALL of their classes! At New Tech, students are grades on all FOUR of our learning outcomes (Knowledge & Thinking, Collaboration, Agency, Written Communication, and Oral Communication). Students who are earning all A's are displaying proficiency or mastery in all of these outcomes at their grade level.

Please help us celebrate and congratulate the following students:

Seniors:

  • Yazmine C
  • James D
  • Declan M

Juniors:

  • Alexis L
  • Esteban R
  • Henry W

Sophomores:

  • Carlos L
  • Edrei R

Freshmen:

  • Eusebio S
  • Max M
  • Jahison T

It is NOT easy to get all A's. Students need to really focus on learning more than just content. They have to be able to be critical thinkers, communicate well and work with others, present topics that they have researched and learned about, and reflect on their learning for improvement in preceding projects.

Keep working hard Timberwolves! Next semester YOU can also be on this list.

Students of the Week (December)

Counselor's Corner

Los Rios community college classes are beginning! The Spring 2023 term begins on January 14. This means that your class should be available to view online in Canvas on that day. If you enrolled in a class and you do not see it in Canvas after the 14th, check your eServices account ("Manage Classes" tile) to make sure you are enrolled in a class. Remember you use the same username and password to log into both your eServices and Canvas accounts.

12th Grade Students and Parents! We are holding a FASFA/CADAA Financial Aid Workshop on Wednesday, January 25 from 6-8 pm to help students complete financial aid applications to get money for college next year. If you plan on attending, it makes the process much faster if you bring the following documents:

*Student's social security number (if applicable) and birth date

*Parent/guardian's social security numbers (if applicable) and birthdates

*Parent/guardian IRS tax returns from last year (if applicable)

*Parent/guardian W-2 forms from last year (if applicable)

*Date of parent/guardian's marriage/remarriage/divorce (if applicable)

Contact Ms. Kim at kim.seyford@snths.org or 916-396-0206 if you have any questions!
