Fourth Quarter Tutoring

I have a handful of students who want to do both track and my tutoring. I have worked out a schedule with the track coaches for this to happen. It is the responsibility of the STUDENT to talk to COACH BEARS about the fact that he/she is attending my tutoring session. Coach Bears will confirm with me that the student showed up for tutoring. With the exception of the first tutoring date, students will be with me from 3-4 and then with track from 4-4:45. The first tutoring date is the only conflict with a Staley practice. Track students will need to decide if they are coming to tutoring or going with the track team to Staley. They will need to let Coach Bears, myself, and you know where they plan to be.

Tutoring for non-track students is still from 3 to 4:45.

The scheduled tutoring dates are

Wednesday, March 27

Wednesday, April 3

Tuesday, April 9

Tuesday, April 16

Wednesday, May 1

Wednesday, May 8

There is NO tutoring session on the week of April 22 because we will be doing MAP testing that week.

Fourth Quarter BASA ends May 9th.

As soon as forms are available, I will send them home with students and will attach a link to our daily email.

In class, we did lesson 8-1. The homework is page 527 problems 2-14 even, 18-34 even.

Retakes for Chapter 7 Test, part 2 are Wednesday after school and Thursday during team studies. Students will need a pass signed by me to retake during team studies.

Regular Math

Students worked on volume of cylinders, spheres, and cones. They were given a worksheet as homework, problems 35-41.

The test over Geometry and Volume will be on Friday, March 8th.

Box Tops, Lids, and Tabs - OH MY

Our library is collecting box tops for our school. In the process of helping that cause, I found that a number of the packages also has the Lids to turn in for helping cure breast cancer. So I am putting a few things out there so that we can be a little more aware and help with the things we already are buying.

**1** Box tops can now be found in a number of products NOT JUST FOOD. They can be found on Kleenex boxes, paper, ect. When you are at the store and have the option of getting a package that has a box top or not pick up the one with the box top. It you don't want to cut them apart from the packaging just bring in the whole package and I will cut them apart for you.

**2** Breast cancer lids – We will be mailing these in periodically during the semester.

**3** Pop Tops – We used to collect pop tops in the past in this building. Mrs. Hulfeld's daughter volunteers at the Ronald McDonald house. We will be giving them to her to donate in New Mark's name.

I am going to have my team work on collecting these items. Please help us with our collection. Let's take a little time this semester to increase our awareness and/or our students in easy ways to help.
