Boosterthon Fun Run - Thursday March 7, 2019
Parents! One of this years main fundraiser is the LES Fun Run! It’s a two-week program that kicks off with a Pep Rally on 2/26. Families will then gather pledges for every lap your student runs (30-35 laps), and we’ll celebrate at the Fun Run on 3/7. With our big goal of raising $30,000 for campus and curriculum enhancements, we asked the Fun Run experts at Boosterthon to power our Fun Run and make it easier, more profitable, and more fun.
Students will also experience an amazing character theme, MINDSPARK MYSTERY LAB! Boosterthon’s most exciting theme yet combines S.T.E.A.M skills (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) with character-building. While they're teaming up with the MindSpark Kids to solve mysteries, our students will learn five 21st-century character traits that will help strengthen themselves and our world.
Donations will go toward campus and curriculum enhancements and to the entire two-week experience. So please help our school by reaching out to sponsors. Also, all families are invited to come out and cheer on your student at the Fun Run! Thank you for your support!

Tax Credit Donations
Please consider making a tax credit donation to help us fund our extra curricular activities for our students. A few of the activities we use the funds for this year are field trips, Friday enrichment electives and after school clubs. Your tax credit donations also fund our art teacher. Cold and Flu Season is Upon Us
To prevent colds and flu in our school family, we recommend that your student stay home if experiencing cold and flu symptoms. Here are some common signs and symptoms:
- Fever at 100 degrees or greater by mouth
- Vomiting (even once)
- Diarrhea
- Chills
- General malaise or feelings of fatigue, discomfort, weakness, or muscle aches
- Frequent congested (wet) or croupy cough
- Lots of nasal congestion with frequent blowing of nose
This is what we encourage of our students while they are at school:
- Frequent hand washing
- Cover mouth with tissue or arm (not hand) when coughing or sneezing
- Avoid sharing personal products that may be contaminated, such as water bottles
- Cleaning of desks, activity areas, and tables
Thank you for your support in promoting health and wellness on our campus!
