Upcoming Parent Teacher Conferences

Parent-Teacher Conferences are next week! Starting Wednesday evening and all day Thursday we will be hosting parent teacher conferences. You should have received communication from your child's teacher to confirm your conference time and your conference method (zoom or in person.)

If something does come up and you are needing to miss your conference or change times, please get with your student's teacher to make arrangements if possible. As of now it is super hard with flexibility once the conference schedule is set. We appreciate your willingness to work with us and we look forward to seeing you!

Valentines Classroom Party

Next Monday (February 14th) we will be hosting our Valentines Party. Please be on the lookout for communication from your child's teacher on how this will look and what will be needed, as this can vary at each grade level.

Special reminder that we are still not allowing all parents in for this event at this time, but we are slowly but surely adding back parent volunteers to this event...two at this time to be exact. Your student's teacher has also been in communication with you about this as well. Please reach out to them if you have any questions!

Next Wednesday February 16th, we will be having a half day due to conferences. Dismissal will be at 12:10 (lunch will NOT be served) and there is NO SCHOOL Thursday OR Friday next week!

Kindest Kansas Citian

It’s time again for the annual KINDEST KANSAS CITIAN ESSAY CONTEST. It is a one-page drawing (K-2) or essay (3-5) demonstrating the positive impact the nominee has made on the student’s life, written by the student. Contest judges are looking to identify kind acts that come from the heart. ENTRIES ARE OPTIONAL. The contest rules are included in the essay packet attached.

Changes for this year include submitting the entries online. This will be the responsibility of the parent/guardian or the student (link below). The contest’s due date is Friday, February 18th. This is set by the contest, so I cannot extend the due date like in previous years. Required information for submission includes: student name, grade, age, home address; parent/guardian name and phone number; an email address that will be checked; nominee’s first and last name, relation to student, and email. Calling All New Kinders

Calling All New Kinders

Please help us spread the word to all next year Kinder families that we will be having our Kindergarten roundup night on March 10th at 6:30pm here at Riverview. During this meeting you do NOT need to bring your students at this time. There will be a later date in May where you would be allowed to bring your students up for a visit and some activities while Mrs. Turpin gives parents a campus tour.

Items to bring that night would include your proof of residency, your child's birth certificate, immunizations, and child's physical from their doctor. More information to come, but please spread the word and mark the date on your calendar!

Stop by the RE East Activity Room from 9-10am on Thursday, February 17th to chat with Principal Turpin and Mrs. Schreiber. All families that stop by will be entered in a raffle for a new indoor recess game for their students' classroom! Coffee and muffins will be provided by the PTA!


Scholastic Book Fair!

Please come join the RE PTA in the library for our Spring Scholastic Book Fair! We will be open on Wednesday, February 16th from 4:00pm-8:00pm and

Thursday, February 17th from 10:00am-8:00pm. All Scholastic points earned from the Spring fair's purchases will be used to stock the RE Library!

The first 20 in-person purchases over $50 will receive a Falcon folding chair! The first 15 purchases of $75 or over will receive a "Home of a Falcon" yard sign!
