RBHS BRIDGE Communication
Rock Bridge High School Newsletter: January 22, 2024
RBHS Mission
Rock Bridge High School is a community in which ALL students and staff inspire each other to become lifelong learners.
Hello Rock Bridge Families!
Welcome back from Winter Break! Finalized first semester grades were available in Infinite Campus on January 5th. We are currently 12 days (but only 8 if you count snow days) into second semester, and this is the perfect time to set realistic academic goals for this spring. We encourage families to discuss current Semester 2 courses with their Rock Bridge students and help create well though out goals. Remember that goals are only as effective as we make them, so build in some action plans for achieving these goals and some "check-up" dates that will help keep these goals visible and relevant.
Speaking of goals and future planning, we are in the process of enrollment for all 9th, 10th, and 11th graders for the 2024-2025 school year. Be sure to read below for all enrolment updates.
Below you will find information about the following.

- Academic Support Semester 2

Sincerely,
Jacob
Attendance Goal Update
This year we have a goal that 87% of our students are present at school 90% of the time. Our collective percentage of students who have achieved 90% attendance as of January 18th is 83.6% compared to 82.6% the previous year at the same time. In the chart below, you can see the attendance data broken down by grade level comparing last year and this year at the same time. Shout out to our Juniors and Freshman for leading the way!
Achieving this goal will require a partnership between RBHS and our families. We hope that we can count on you to help us achieve our 2023-2024 Attendance Goal. Please discuss this openly with your family and help us stress the importance of attending school every day one is able. We know that being present during instruction is one of the most important keys to academic success.

Columbia Area Career Center Information

Semester 1 Grades
All Semester 1 grades were finalized and available January 5th in Infinite Campus. Here is some "How To" information when it comes to navigating Infinite Campus. All RB Families should receive a physical copy of semester 1 grades in the mail by January 31st. Accurate student grades are only found in Infinite Campus. Schoology may have a record of grades for your student, but Schoology is not the most accurate location to find your student’s grades.
Academic Support Semester 2
Please remind your student regularly that they should be utilizing their AUT, Advisory, and/or Study Hall time to complete school work, refresh their understanding of content, or get assistance with work that is challenging. Below you will find information about two different academic assistance opportunities we offer at RBHS.
Rock Bridge provides our Tutoring Center for all students during each of the 8 blocks. Our Tutoring Center is staffed by Math, Science, and Studies certified teachers and students with interest (and competency) in each of these contents.
9th graders are able to access this assistance during their Advisory class period. They can also use their time in Advisory to seek assistance from their 9th grade peers, Advisory Mentor, and their Advisory Teacher.
10th, 11th, and 12th graders are able to access the Tutoring Center during any portion of their AUT.
