Cultivating Critical Thinking and Creativity in Responsive Learning Environments

On April 11th, thousands of schools celebrated #LoveMySchoolDay on Twitter. It brought pleasure and pride to see all the reasons that staff, students and even a parent shared about why our school rocks!

As a staff, our collaborative professional learning continues to be centered around the question: How might we create thinking classrooms where students have opportunities to learn more deeply, solve problems, and think critically and creatively. Have a look at the Ted Talk below and let us know what you think! We would love to hear from you.

  • What conditions do you think kids need to learn in a "sticky" way (a way that sticks with kids)?
  • What can Joyceville PS do to make our school a better place for learning?

The last month has been filled with lots of exciting and productive learning opportunities! Please check us out on Twitter @JoycePS_LDSB or visit our school website which shows our Twitter feed to see what's been happening!

As always, please contact me with any questions, concerns, or ideas you would like to share.
