This week we had our first Spirit Day at school, Earth Day! It is amazing to slowly return to our traditions and sense of normalcy. Thank you for making this day and week so special.

NOW - Kumeyaay Yearbooks and Spotlight Adds on Sale, information below

**April 23 - Today is the last day to submit photos for our Kumeyaay Yearbook. There is still some time to send a special photo to kumeyaayyearbook@gmail.com. Information about purchasing a Spotlight Add and yearbook for such a memorable year is below.

April 26 - Month of the Military Child photo: We will be taking a group photo of our Military students to honor them and the work their families do for our country. If you are a Military parent and would like to have your child in this photo, please complete our photo permissions survey, https://forms.gle/uxbkj1GRdJ3kfvE77 (If your child is an online learner, and you would like them in this photo, please bring them to the office by 12:20 p.m. on Monday.)

April 27 - School Site Council Meeting (SSC): During this meeting, we will discuss our budget for the remainder of the school year. All parents are welcome. A Zoom meeting invitation will be sent to families via email.

April 28 - Site Governance Team Meeting (SGT) During this meeting, we will discuss our budget for the remainder of the school year. We will also discuss agenda items provided by participating families and staff members.

The Kumeyaay Foundation works year-round at raising donations to fund our Music, Physical Education, and Fine Artists programs. Each school year, we start fresh at raising the necessary funds. Due to COVID-19, it has been nearly impossible to fundraise since March 2020, meaning that some of our fundraising events did not happen. We are in good shape to support the school for this coming fall, but we urge you, if you are able, to support our Foundation so that we can ensure our ongoing support for the coming academic year and beyond.
