FSC Principal's Update

March 4, 2022

Finneytown Families,

If your senior ordered graduation announcements/accessories, pick up is next Tuesday, March 8th, from 7:30-8:00am in the HS lobby. This is not for cap/gown pickup; that will take place in May.

Thanks to Stephanie Belschner for leading our ACT preparation and event. Our juniors had an extremely successful ACT day. We had a huge percentage show up, sign in on time and take the test seriously. We had nobody show up late which speaks to the support they have at home so thank you!!

Spring is a crazy busy season with EOC testing, AP testing, concerts, the play, prom, senior events, and graduation to name a few. Please keep up with the calendar of events on newsletters to stay informed. It is easy to forget things, at least for me anyway!

If you have any questions, please reach out.

Staff Spotlight (Casey Burwinkel)

Hi My name is Casey Burwinkel (Shafor), bet some of y'all didn't know I got married in the summer of 2020 lol. I grew up in a small town called Fayetteville Ohio with 2 brothers (one older and one younger). I competed and taught gymnastics for 8 years. My highest achievement was getting second on bars with a 9.525 in the entire state of Kentucky. While in school I did CCP (previously known as PSEO) and graduated with my Associates in Liberal Arts at the same time as my High School Diploma with Honors. I then studied at the University of Cincinnati (Clermont then Main) to get my Bachelors of Education of Life Science and certification of integrated secondary sciences. I student taught at Fairfield 9th Grade building then at Winton Woods. I have been here ever since (3 years). In my spare time (when available) I spend all the time I can with my husband and our cat Ewok. I like to play video games, paint, garden, cook, watch Mel Brook films, and cross stitch. I also love to watch Anime and go to Anime Cons and cosplay. I am a silly, weird, laidback, and sarcastic person.

Dinner Before the Show

Dinner Before the Show is Back!

Finneytown Music Parents Association looks forward to seeing you and needs your help to make it success as it was the last time we had it, just over two years ago. Mark your calendars for Saturday, April 9th and plan to join us for our traditional spaghetti dinner between 5-7 pmbefore you head to the PAC to enjoy the High School's musical production, The Sound of Music. If you're interested in assisting with the event, we have a variety of ways you can help:

  • Raffle ticket sales at the event
  • Food chairperson
  • Drinks/desserts chairperson
  • Donations for raffle baskets (stationary, bath and body products, items to appeal to children of all ages, games, art supplies, etc)
  • Donations for bid-n-buy (Do you own a small business or know someone who does that would like to offer services, products or gift certificates? Do you have tickets for local events that you'd like to donate?)
If you'd like to join us in making this fun event the best it can be, contact April Bruder at fmpapresident@gmail.com and let her know how you can help.
