Basic Simple Machines
1. Wedge: change the force from going upward to going outward. Ex: Binder
2. Inclined Plane: simply a tilted surface; the steeper the slope, the more effort it takes to push/pull the object
3. Lever: rigid bar that rotates around a fixed point Ex: Golf club/ball
4. Pulley: changing the direction of the force Ex: Water Well
5. Screw: incline plane that is coiled around a shaft Ex: Screw Driver
6. Wheel & Axle: small cylinder joined to a large wheel Ex: Bike
