HALLOWEEN
On October 29, we ask all students who plan to wear a Halloween costume to arrive at school fully dressed. Students may slip on their costume face mask prior to the Halloween walk. Students will NOT be allowed to use the restrooms to get dressed, to apply make-up, or do their hair.
We are requesting $2.00 from each student to cover the cost of a yummy treat we would like to serve students the morning of Halloween.
Also, please remember that October 29 is a half day! Students will be dismissed at 11:30.
Costume Expectations
If your child is participating in the Halloween parade, costumes and makeup may not be scary. Please leave plastic guns and knives at home. Costumes must also adhere to the Chatfield School dress code. Ladies should not wear costumes that reveal their midriff. Spaghetti straps are not allowed. Your child will be asked to change if a costume is inappropriate. Thank you!
Sixth Grade Bike Trip
Southern Links Trailway Bike Trip
Sixth Grade Southern Links Bike Trip is scheduled for Friday, October 8. Permission slips were sent home today. The morning of the trip, students may park their bike in the Kindergarten parking lot near the basketball hoops. Please do not park bikes on the front walkway. If you would rather drop your child’s bike off Thursday after school, you may park their bike in the middle school commons. If you are transporting your child and their bike there is no need to drop the bike off. Please make sure your child’s name is labeled on their helmet. If your child does not have a helmet, no worries, they may borrow one from Peter. Your child also needs a packed lunch labeled with their name on it. Please pay close attention to the weather forecast. It can sometimes be cold the morning of the trip and warm-up as the day progresses. Please see the permission slip for specific details regarding the trip and transportation.
