Knightly Update April 10, 2022
ACP High School - Edition Vol 1 Issue 34
________________________________________
What a week! Thank you to all that participated in Friday's International Knights Festival. It was a great night and I enjoyed perusing the booths, talking to families, watching the entertainment, and learning about the various cultures at our school. It was fantastic to be able to hold this event once again and it didn't disappoint. Thank you to English teacher, Mrs. Melissa Williams for all the work she put forth preparing for and planning this year's festival. Great job to her and to all of the members of our school's International Club - outstanding work!
With the taking of last week's ACT Aspire, we have finished administering all required state and national assessments this school year. Thank you to the members of our freshman and junior classes for taking these assessments seriously and putting forth their best effort. I look forward to seeing how the students do and sharing their progress with the faculty and school community. The next round of assessments will the AP exams that are administered in May. Students who signed up to take an AP exam will learn the room that their exam will be taken later this month. Great work Knights on this year's required exams.
Please remember that there will be no school on Friday due to this quarter's spring holiday. For those of you that celebrate the Easter holiday, I hope you have a very Happy Easter. I also wish our Muslim students and families Ramadan Mubarak. Enjoy the week and please contact me if you have any questions or concerns. Thanks again for joining us and celebrating the amazing diversity on our campus. Take care.
Rob Bickes
Principal

RMACAC serves students in Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, and Wyoming. This year RMACAC will be hosting a free college fair at Arizona State University Tempe campus, the fair is open to all students and their families! This is a great opportunity for students and their families to come out and interact with over 100 colleges and universities.
The fair will take place on Sunday, April 10, 2022, from 12:00p - 2:00p Arizona time at Arizona State University (Sun Devil Fitness Complex, 400 E. Apache Blvd., Tempe, AZ 85287). Please Make a Tax Credit Donation
If you are able to make your tax contributions early in the year, your donation would be greatly appreciated and give us a jump start on some of our essential extracurricular activities. We have set a goal to collect approximately $50.00 per family for a total of $57,500.00 and hope that you will be willing to help us meet our goal. Thank you for supporting your child and our school!
Tax Credit Basics…
A tax credit donation is a full refund, not a deduction. Contributions eligible for a tax credit are donated directly to schools, not to the state or school district. To participate or learn more, follow the link listed below to donate online or you can complete the enclosed form and submit your contribution at your convenience.
http://www.cusd80.com/taxcredit
Arizona Law ARS 43-1089.01 enables taxpayers a tax credit contribution of up to $400.00 per year if filing status is “Married, filing Joint Return;” $200.00 per calendar year if filing status is “Single of Head of Household;” and $200 per calendar year if filing status is “Married filing separate returns.” These contributions fund extracurricular activities in public schools and greatly impact our school community and our students.
