Because of the extended closure of the NEISD district, we plan to do everything in our power to ensure that our students continue to have access to course content and resources that facilitate learning. Read Alouds
Storyline Online, streams videos featuring celebrated actors reading children’s books alongside creatively produced illustrations. Readers include Viola Davis, Chris Pine, James Earl Jones, Betty White and dozens more.
More than a hundred free video read alouds.
Astronauts, in space, have videotaped themselves reading books to the children of Earth. The videos are placed on this website under the heading ” Story Time Videos”.
Read alouds and resources are provided based on age and reading level. Read alouds can also be found on their YouTube channel
Audible, a website for audiobooks, has opened its website for free. Audible offer a trove of books appropriate for young children to adults.

These resources are accessed through Launchpad on the NEISD website. Students will log in with their district username and password. Resources are located in the Library Resources folder.

BrainPop is a group of educational websites with over 1,000 short animated movies for students in grades K-12. Content includes quizzes and related materials, covering the subjects of science, social studies, English, math, engineering and technology, health, and arts and music.
