Message from Dr. Mazzoni

As the school day closed at Folsom, we celebrate another month down with less than 3 months to go until we send off our 8th graders to high school and the underclassmen to the next grade. There is a lot to be thankful for this school year, but that doesn’t stop me from thinking, “Are we doing enough for students?” It was then that a colleague of mine sent me a video of the “Fearless Principal”. Hamish Brewer’s approach to leadership may seem unconventional, but all of us can relate to the expectations he puts on himself and his staff:

1) Be Relentless

2) Be Gritty, determined, and work hard

3) Let’s make this school an amazing place for the students and staff

4) Nothing moves without a relationship – love is going to be at the top of that list – leading and teaching through love

5) It’s hard to be authentic – it takes a lot preparation, effort, and time – but it’s worth it
