"So, what's the plan?"
Believe me, we are all waiting and wondering what structure or framework things will look like in August/September and beyond. The following message was delivered by Maurene Stanton, Executive Director of Human Resources, on May 22. As a point of emphasis I am including that message and two valuable links as I know we are all wondering and trying to wrap our minds and hearts around what is to come. ~ Mr. Hanzeli

The Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) Creates Committee to Research School Options for Re-opening
Many families have asked about what school will look like next year. OSPI has formed a work group of 120 stakeholders to discuss how and when to reopen schools. The district will follow the guidance from this work group.

Stanwood Middle School Registration for Elger Bay Grade 5 Students
Counselor's Corner - Mrs. Mati
Hello Elger Bay Explorers,
Wow, it’s hard to believe that it is June! Before long summer will be here. As we head into June and summer, I want you all to know that I miss seeing everyone at school and hope you are all doing well, working hard, and having fun, too! For June, the elementary school counselors in our district have put together some more activities for you on Clever. Included will be a short book list for summer reading and videos of books being read aloud. You will not even need to have the book on hand to hear the story! Like last month, you can find these June resources on Clever in the “Social and Emotional” folder. Again, the activities we share are 100% optional and meant to be fun and helpful. No need to stress over anything that we share and please reach out if you do have any questions.
P.S. I've included a link for a fun scavenger hunt activity for you to do at home. Keep up the good work learning and practicing how to express your feelings!

One PTA Officer Still Needed
The following message comes from our wonderful PTA president, Elizabeth Butler. If you might be interested in what she is asking, please give her a call. Even if you don't have much experience, the team will be happy to coach and help you get oriented. ~ Mr. H.
Dear Elger Bay Families,
The PTA is still short on its board for the 2020-21 school year. As of right now the board is made up of the following:
President: Elizabeth Butler
Vice President: Brandy Siddique
Secretary: Suzanne Hiatt
Membership: Roxanne Cardon
We are in need of a Treasurer.
The duties of the Treasurer are:
· Keeping the budget/books up to date
· Writing checks
· Depositing money
· Setting up and breaking down a register at events where it is needed.
· Attending General and Board meetings and trainings
This list can be intimidating, but there will be help and training available. We are a team and we will all help each other. We need to fill this position or we will be unable to host events, assemblies, or help teachers or families with field trips, or supplies.
If you would like to be a part of the PTA Board or have questions please email email@example.com

Still Not Internet Connected?
If you are someone who would like to be connected but still need internet access, please consider the following:
1. Is there cell phone service available for your home location?
Meaning, if someone has a cell phone where your children would learn, could they get service?
2. Do you know if that potential cell service works with a Verizon or TMobile phone?
3. If you answered YES to both of those and you need supports, I can get you on a waitlist for mobile hotspots.
If this describes your circumstance and you otherwise have no access to WiFi, please Email Mr. Hanzeli (firstname.lastname@example.org ) at your first convenience and we will get you on the list to potentially receive a hotspot.
