501 Update
Thursday, November 8
Friday, November 8
Tomorrow is the 501 Mall. The young entrepreneurs are ready! You are welcome to watch them in action. Our first grade customers are scheduled to "buy" at 9:40, 10:00, 10:50 and 11:15. The Mall will close at noon. I plan on taking as many pictures as possible and will send them your way. Additionally, the infomercials, digital slogan/advertising poster, and QR code for each company will have a link of their own before Thanksgiving. Their enthusiasm is contagious and we almost missed dismissal at the end of the day.
Next Week
Tuesday
The 4th and 5th grades will attend the Georgia Milner awards at the Georgia World Congress Center on Tuesday, November 13. We were lucky enough to get seats for both grades. We'll leave school at 9:30 and plan to leave the venue at 12:30. Dan Gutman is this year's recipient as voted on by students in Georgia.
Grandparents' & Special Friends Day - Thursday Nov. 15
Message from Ms. Floyd:
"We are so excited about our upcoming performance. If possible, please send girls to school in uniform knee socks or tights with brown or black flats. Please send boys in brown or black dress shoes or uniform appropriate, nice tennis shoes. They are welcome to bring a change of shoes for after the performance. Thanks and best, Laura Floyd."
Check in the signed paper folder for specifics.
Friday, November 16 is noon dismissal.
Thanks!
Your kids are the best - I am enjoying every single second with them. They are all kind, compassionate and always willing to put that little extra into everything. Both the Voting/Electoral College project and the 501 Mall reflect their competence and commitment to excellence.
