Your Morning Announcements!
What's Up for Week 4?
I hope you all had a wonderful extended weekend with less Zoom and more time outside.
We are trying to find every avenue we can to engage students and families through virtual office hours and college-related sessions, as well as hosting individual appointments for students and families with more personal questions.
What's Up for Week 4?
This will still be a full week of Zoom meetings, but we are going to focus mostly on office hours for specific sessions and questions. One thing we are hearing from students is that they miss each other and their communities. To the extent that you can encourage them to come to office hours and "hang out" with each other to finish things related to college, please do! The virtual ASP office is always meant to be a safe space for students - and there are still a lot of things to be done!
Our group sessions are going to be focused on a few school-specific panels (UT Austin and Prairie View A&M), the Next Steps After Choosing a College, and we are finalizing an Alumni Student Panel with some of our alums who have left Texas to share their experiences.
As always, the ASP event calendar is up to date on our website. Thank you all for everything you do. I hope you and your families stay healthy and well.
With gratitude,

Students Confirm College Board Account Email Address
College Board advised that all students should log in to their College Board account to verify that the email used in their account. The email used should be one the student checks frequently and can receive emails from an "outside sender", which may preclude school-issued email addresses. Students should update their CB email to an active, personal email address they check regularly.
