FBLA Industry Tour
On November 28, FBLA members had the opportunity to visit two industries in Jacksonville, Carmin Industries and Parker Hannifin. They were able to tour the facilities and ask questions of the employees. Carmin Industries is a local design and fabrication company with fewer than 20 employees but with major clients like NASA, Boeing and Disney. Parker Hannifin is a global company that designs and manufactures instrumentation valves for the oil and gas industry with more than 100 employees here in Jacksonville. Both companies look for bright, hard-working young people to join their workforce. Our FBLA members learned about the different skill sets that are required to run a successful manufacturing operation.
