It is always our hope that you are able to support our monthly school theme at home as well.
In addition to monthly themes, PBIS also includes weekly celebration and recognition of a student from each classroom who has set goals and is striving to achieve them, has gone above and beyond to help others, or might be a role model to others. While this is recognition of an individual student the entire class is a part of the recognition.
There are times when corrective action is necessary for behavior. This comes in two forms at Park Lawn: Fix Its and Orange Slips. We have included visuals of both below; you can click on the image to enlarge. A Fix It is utilized when a behavior requires some reteaching and problem solving; creates an action plan to Fix It. . These do come home so that you are able to review and discuss as a family; please sign and return to your child's teacher. Orange slips are a response to a behavior requiring immediate action from Mrs. Jones and parent contact is always made.
Your partnership in our PBIS efforts is greatly appreciated and more information will be forthcoming.
