Cannabis, It's Complicated Especially for Kids
Free Virtual Parent Workshop
April 20th from 7:00-8:00pm
What was once a relatively simple plant, cannabis has inspired everything from fear to fierce loyalty. We’ll have a conversation about the science of today’s cannabis and its impact on young people’s developing brains. We need to learn all we can about this evolving substance, which bears little resemblance to a plant. This online program will address the effects of increased THC levels, social norms, availability, and the impact on a young, developing brain.
Organized by "Be Part of the Conversation"

BRUIN PRIDE:
The Bruin Pride trait of the month for April is CITIZENSHIP. Citizenship is the act of obeying rules, laws, and cooperating with others. Good citizens respect parents, teachers, and others in authority. They protect the environment and stay informed about important issues.
Dismissal is 1:00 PM every Wednesday and on any B schedule days; it is imperative that students are picked up on time, as the teachers and staff have Professional Development and faculty meetings each Wednesday.
Uniforms:
Students must be in full uniform each day. Uniform violations are given each day, which ultimately affects discipline grades and Honors designation. If you have any questions regarding the school uniform or gym uniform, please call the behavior support suite, 215-533-6700 x1110.
TRANSPORTATION:
If you are enrolled in the Flat Rate Program, please remember you must complete the MONTHLY payment form at the end of EVERY month, in order to receive payment by clicking the link below. Also, please note that the first payment may take up to 60 days to process.
Counseling Corner
Spring is here! With the weather getting warmer, here are some fun activities for spring
that can help you relieve stress and boost your mood!
Plant a garden. You don’t need a big yard or a green thumb to plant a garden. You can
plant flowers, vegetables, and herbs in small spaces or indoors. Gardening also offers
mental health benefits, including stress reduction and physical exercise.
Plan a barbecue with family and friends. Warmer weather means you can fire up the grill
and have a delicious meal outside in your backyard or local park. Invite friends or family to
bring side dishes and desserts, and add in a game night afterwards for some fun and
bonding time.
Meditate. Meditation is one of the best ways to reduce stress. While you can do it inside,
taking your meditation outdoors when the weather gets warmer can offer the extra
benefits of fresh air and sunshine.
Play with sidewalk chalk. This activity is not just for kids, but adults can have plenty of fun
with sidewalk chalk, too. Creating art can lower cortisol (stress hormone) levels, promote
relaxation, and can help you learn new things about yourself.
