History Of Education in the 1990'S and Beyond
The 90's were all about technology and having new learning tools on the classroom computers. This was the time period when new laws came into place about what goes on in the classroom and what teachers have to teach.
Roles of Teachers
The teachers need to make sure their kids are prepared for when they need to take the standardized test. During the 90's some teachers were able to teach two classes, and that would be switching between a coach and a regular teacher. Teachers need to provide high quality education to the students and figure out what teaching methods work in their classrooms and what does not work.
Important People
Computer
The computer itself has helped the classrooms use new tools and new learning programs to help the students out. This as helped when students have homework and they don't fully know how to do it, they can still ask their teacher for help through email and more technology things.
George W. Bush
He signed the No Child Left Behind law. It was to increase accountability for teachers in the classrooms, it focused on an increase in reading, more school choices for parents, and it brought in more charter schools.
School Curriculum
Schools focused on the core subjects as well as the extra curricular activities. The learning material helps the kids with their upcoming test.
