Sophomore Counseling Videos
These videos are our way of sharing information with students that we normally would have shared in classroom presentations. Both links are also available in the Counseling Resources & Information folder under Resources in Schoology Class of 2023 Folder.

Children’s Series: It’s Ok Not To Be Ok!
Every Thursday in May 4:30-5 p.m.
Join the NAMI Minnesota’s Children’s Team staff to reflect on where we have been and to start talking about resilience. These 30 minute talks are aimed at youth ages 14+

Come listen to Amritari Martinez, M.A., a NAMI Connection Facilitator, NAMI In Our Own Voice Presenter, Peer to Peer Instructor, former Patients Rights Advocate and current Yoga and Meditation Teacher talk about her journey of recovery by introducing the principles of yoga and meditation that helped heal her life. After sharing her personal story she will teach a Chair Yoga and guided Meditation Class to help participants feel peaceful and happy.

ACT Superscoring Now Available
Superscoring is the process of averaging your four best subject scores from all of your ACT test attempts. ACT will calculate and report a superscore for students who have taken the ACT test more than once. Scores from State & District testing and International testing will also be used in this calculation. More information can be found on the ACT Website
Upcoming College/Military Visits
The admission representatives that visit Eagan high school are the same people that review college applications. EHS College visits will be hosting virtual visits this year.
Students can view scheduled visits by logging into their Naviance Student account. A link for the virtual visit will be available to join the day of the college visit. We ask that students do not miss class for these visits. College visits are added daily, so students are encouraged to log into Naviance to see updates.

Concordia Language Village $1000 Stipend for MN Students
Stipends are available for summer 2021 language immersion programs, both virtual and residential, at Concordia Language Villages through the Minnesota Office of Higher Education’s Summer Academic Enrichment Program.
The Summer Enrichment stipend will cover the cost of a Language Villages program up to a maximum amount of $1,000. To be eligible, applicants must a Minnesota resident in grades 3-11 who is eligible for free or reduced-price lunch. If the student is in grades 7-11, they must have an overall "C" average. The stipends are on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Summer Teen Arts Council Camps (STAC)
STAC is a summer job where teens will learn how museums work, make art, and meet other teens interested in art. Special priority will be given to teens who have life circumstances that make it challenging to participate in programming, such as pregnant/parenting, care for family members, highly mobile, work after school jobs, or are struggling in school. We'll meet at the Walker Art Center, located at 725 Vineland Place in Minneapolis.
Program details:
• Open for 10th-, 11th-, and 12th- graders
• Free breakfast and lunch daily
• PAID!
• Free bus cards
• Child/sibling care options
