Dear Robert Hunter families,
We hope the students enjoyed their snow day on Friday.
Our students and teachers did an amazing job with the quick pivot to virtual learning this past Monday. We know it wasn't ideal for all students and families, and we are appreciative of everyone's assistance and flexibility.
It continues to be “all hands on deck” at Robert Hunter. Our incredible team of teachers and staff is working together to ensure classroom and building needs are covered. We need to give a shout out to all Robert Hunter staff members who are doing everything they can to support our students and continue to provide them with great learning experiences every day.
As we have done for the past two years, we will continue to work together and do everything we can to maintain the most normalcy we can for our students and navigate through these challenges.
Thank you for your ongoing support and partnership.
Warm regards,
Mrs. Glaab and Mrs. Braynor

Quarantine and Virtual Learning
We ask all families to directly email our school nurse, Mrs. Cunniff, with any information about symptoms, COVID in the home, or positive test results. This information should go to Mrs. Cuniff rather than the classroom teacher.
Per state and district policy, families are not able to voluntarily choose virtual learning as a preference at this time. Only students who are being directed to quarantine by the school can be provided virtual learning. If your child is asked to quarantine, that direction will come from the school with follow-up information from your child’s teacher. Please note that we will need a full school day to prepare for virtual learning, so that teachers can gather materials and adjust lessons. If your child is asked to quarantine, you will be provided asynchronous work for the first day of quarantine by the classroom teacher, and live virtual learning will begin the next day.
Devices
Chromebook/iPad and chargers will be sent home with your child each day until further notice. Please help your child charge the device each night and pack both charger and device back into their backpack to return to school each morning. A full evening charge should keep both iPads and chromebooks ready to use all day.
Student Absences
If your child is absent for any reason, continue to alert the school via the form on our school website.
If a family elects to keep their child home, the school is not able to provide work.
If your child is sick, he or she is not expected to complete work.
If your child is asked to quarantine, work/virtual learning will be provided.
Arrival notes*
Please note that when dropping off your children in the morning, families must remain in their cars and children should independently vacate the car on the passenger side of the vehicle.
Please have backpacks and lunch boxes near the child, ready to go. Hats and gloves should already be on, and children should be ready to leave the vehicle promptly.
Please do not pass a car while in the drop off lane.
As a reminder, arrival times are 8:45-8:55 am. Any students arriving after 8:55 must be signed in through the office.
Dismissal Notes*
If you are picking up your child, please place the last name of the student being picked up on the passenger side of the vehicle daily.
Please remain in cars, and do not pass a car while in the pick up lane.
*Please share this information with anyone dropping off or picking up your child.*
