Graduation Dates Released!
Hello Raider Nation --
Hopefully you received the communications regarding our graduation date. To reiterate, graduation will take place on Friday, May 24, 2019 at 12 noon. School for ALL students will dismiss at 9:45am on May 24. Please mark your calendars. The last day for seniors will be May 22, 2019. A huge THANK YOU to Marriott’s Ridge High School for swapping times with us to accommodate our student athletes!
Another member of our family has lost a loved one. Please keep Lt. Col. Reinhart and his family in your thoughts and prayers. He lost his father this past week.
I attended today’s matinee performance of Shrek The Musical. One word –SENSATIONAL! As this was the last performance, word spread of how great this musical was. The show SOLD OUT!! The cast did an outstanding job. The singing, the acting, and the orchestra were all first-class. One spectator remarked to me, “I can’t believe these are high school kids!” Kudos to Mr. Rosen and his drama department for putting on a Broadway caliber show.
As you saw from Kathy Kern’s email, Empty Bowls raised $1,142.00 for Grassroots. We are so very grateful to everyone who donated and supported this powerful community event! Even more impressive was the display of student art work in the auxiliary gym. I hope you got to see some of the incredible work of our students. Hats off to our students and our fantastic Art Department.
Kudos to Krista Bopst and Becca's Closet for all of their hard work. Please read her email and the impact our students are making for others. Nice job!
I am thrilled to announce that Kathy Kern and Brandon Morfoot will assume the role of co-ITL for 9th Grade next year. Please join me in congratulating them on their new leadership role.
A special thank you to Adrienne, ITLs and our Student Services department for your hard work in helping to build our master schedule for next year. If you are still uncertain of your schedule for next year, please see your ITL.
Finally, a huge thank you to those who donated and came out to see Strutting with the Staff! Keeping with the theme of “The 80s,” our choreographed routine was a hit! We ended up coming home with the Second Runner-Up trophy! Thank you to Heather and her students for the rehearsals. The hard work paid off. A special thank you to the teachers who participated. It was a great time had by all. Dr. Martirano and his leadership team had a nice routine as well.
See you tomorrow!
P.S. -- Sorry Duke fans! Go Big Ten!
