Silver Creek Chronicle

Week of November 8th, 2021

From Mrs. Flemming

Dear SCE Families:

Beginning November 7th, the Center for Effective Schools (which is an initiative of the Texas Education Agency) will begin administering feedback surveys to families across the state. Your views on matters like the way students at school are taught, and your and your student’s connection to school are crucial. These surveys will give you a unique opportunity to provide anonymous feedback about your experiences in these areas and others.

The survey window will be open from November 7th through November 19th. I am writing to personally ask you to complete this survey and help Silver Creek grow.

You will be able to access our school’s brief, 10-minute survey by CLICKING HERE and choosing the school from a dropdown menu. Once again, anything you share will be completely anonymous and can never be tied back to you. Also, students on campus will participate in a similar survey. If you would like to review the questions asked for the student survey, you can see all the questions by going to Only students in grades 3rd and up are eligible to participate in the survey.

This month we will begin our Thirty Days of Thankfulness. We would love for you to share the things about Silver Creek that you are thankful for so we can share them with our school community. Please use the link above to submit as often as you would like!

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me!

Counselor's Corner

On Monday, teachers will collect tickets from those students who want to attend our mini Fall Festival on Friday the 12th. The event will cost 35 tickets to attend, and students can participate in face painting, eating caramel apples, a pie-eating contest (whipped cream on a paper plate), and we will have games and prizes. This is also a dress up day, so send your students dressed in their house colors! Your student may choose to save their tickets to spend at the school store during the week of November 30th- December 3rd. Kindergarten students will shop on Monday, December 6th. Please contact PTO if you would like to volunteer to help with either of these activities.

During the months of November and December, we will be learning about respect, which is the second letter “R” in our TRRFCC Tickets. We will also learn about gratitude and mindfulness during our Counselor lessons.

I am grateful for our amazing families, students, and staff at Silver Creek! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

~ Ms. Terrett
