Achievement Night at AES
AES students and staff are excited to announce that Thursday, April 4th is our annual AES Student Achievement Night. This is an opportunity for our students to share with their families and community members many of the interesting things they are doing at school. Every classroom will have something special to see, so plan on taking a grand tour of our beautiful school. Last year we had a great turnout, and we hope to have another this year!
New this year! Walking Tacos: Come enjoy a walking taco supper from 5:00-6:45 for $6.00 per plate. Each meal will include a walking taco with all the fixings, ice cream sundae and water.
Book Fair: The Scholastic Book Fair will be open for business in the art room upstairs. We ask that families visit the book fair from 5:00-6:45 to ensure that all purchases are completed by 7:00.
The theme this year is Paws for Books.

Testing Tips from the Counselor's Desk
Testing has begun across the state and at Adrian Elementary. It is important for students to be prepared to come to school ready to test. Here are a few tips to help your student be focused and ready to test! First, be sure your student eats a good breakfast. Next, allow your student to get a good night sleep, not just the night before the test, but the week of. Both hunger and a lack of sleep might make it more difficult to focus on the test. Finally, try to avoid scheduling appointments on days when testing is taking place. Making up tests at different times might make it harder for the student to focus on what they need to do in the test. As long as students take their time and give their best effort, that is all we hope for them. Happy testing!
