First Day Reminders:

As we prepare for the first day of school, we want to share these important reminders:

  1. Our counselors have been hard at work taking care of schedule changes and balancing classes. All students need to log into parent portal Sunday night and print their schedule. Their could be some adjustments.
  2. Students need to remember to bring a copy of their schedule to school on Monday.
  3. Zero hour will meet at 8 am.
  4. For any student that the family has not completed the registration process on line, paid for their student id, or taken care of any holds, the student will need to come to the library located on the second floor of B2. We will have staff members there to assist you. You are encouraged to bring the following things to help the process along: If there has been a change in address, bring a gas or electric bill.
  5. A copy of the schedule can be found on the East website under resources.

Parking and Student Drop Off Changes

Students and parents we want to make you aware of some big changes that are taking place starting this year. Below details out the changes to parking and student drop off that all families will want to be aware of:

  • The front staff lot has been adjusted to allow for reserved student parking as well as staff and visitor parking.
  • The back east parking lost is now STAFF PARKING ONLY no students will be allowed to park in the east lot any longer.
  • Student drop off is only allowed in the circle drive at the front of the building.
  • There should be no students cars or parents going beyond the red X on the map below headed towards the east lot.

Please help us keep everyone safe and follow these new expectations!

Students pictures will be coming soon! All pictures will be taken through students history classes. 9th-11th grade students will have their pictures taken either August 14 or 15. Seniors that did not have their picture taken during the summer will have theirs taken August 16-21. Seniors must have their picture taken at campus even if they are taking senior portraits pictures off site. The pictures taken through the school is how you get your student id and are included in the yearbook. 9th-11th graders please find an electronic version of the order from below. Seniors will receive a QR code to view their pictures after they have them taken.

Alternative schedule for emergency drills

On Wednesday, August 13 & 14th, Plano East will be on an alternative schedule to complete all our emergency drills. We will be increasing the length of 2nd period so that our students can watch a video on our locking door system, Alertus application so that we can communicate with students off campus, and a lockdown, shelter in place, evacuation/ fire and re-entry drills. We feel it is important to make sure everyone is aware of the process for these drills early in the school year so that all staff and students know how to react in the case of an emergency. Below is the schedule we will be following on August 13 & 14th.

Video interns are needed for Clark Stadium on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday and Kimbrough Stadium on Fridays. This internship will be a great addition to your college resume.
