After all four rounds were completed, we ended the night as division champions! Bringing home another robotics trophy to Bradley!! The boys showed an excellent display of teamwork and perseverance to get the job done. Please congratulate Jason Cardenas, Jasiah Ortega, Owen Tveten, and Declan Guckian on a great robotics season!
Former Bradley student thanks teacher for always being there!
Former Bradley Middle School student, Adolfo Diaz works for Facebook.
Before that, he worked at Amazon.
But years before working for some of the biggest companies in the U.S., he was a sixth-grade geography student in Liz Pirtle’s geography class at Bradley Middle School.
He recently sent her a video message thanking her for always being in his corner and cheering him on in and out of the classroom.
“I moved to San Antonio when I was about 9-years-old, and I didn’t know any English. Going to school was fairly intimidating; however, walking into Mrs. Pirtle’s classroom was completely different. There was something magical about it. You felt cared for. You knew that you were going to have a lot of fun and that you were going to learn, but most importantly, you could feel that Mrs. Pirtle believed in us, students. It’s been 15 years since I stepped foot in that classroom and for those past 15 years, when I looked over to my small cheering section, Mrs. Pirtle was always there telling me she believed in me. Thank you, thank you, thank you for all the effort and love you put into your work. Love you and keep doing what you do.”
Big or small, everyone has a story to tell.
