GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY WINS STATE CHAMPIONSHIP
The CHS Girls Cross Country Team won State on Saturday, November 4th! Congratulations to Mihajla Milovanovic, Kerri Welch, Kylie Welch, Becca Taylor, Daniela Montufar, Anna Foreman, Ava Hamilton, Morgan Foster and Brooke Eversden. The girls are coached by Matt Lincoln.
CHS SWIM MAKING WAVES
Congratulations to CHS Girls Swim for coming in 2nd at State! Boys Swim also had a strong season and finished 4th. The Wolves are pictured at the San Tan Shadows Invitational on October 28th. Thirty teams competed in the event, and CHS came out on top. Several Wolves won their individual races as well. Great job this season!
BAND EARNS “SUPERIOR” AND MOVES ON TO STATE FINALS
The Wolfpack Marching Band earned a Superior rating and music caption at Saturday’s competition. They will compete at the State Championships on November 18th. Congrats and good luck, Wolfpack!
WOLVES DEFEAT MT. VIEW AND PREP FOR PINNACLE
The Chandler Wolves defeated Mountain View 49-24 in the first round of the play-offs and will take on the Pinnacle Pioneers this Friday at 7:00pm on Austin Field. The gates will open at 6:00pm. Tickets are $5 for students (no activity passes accepted) and $10 for adults. Tickets can also be purchased on-line at tikatap.com.
WOLF WALK THIS FRIDAY
Students and adults are encouraged to be a part of CHS’s “Wolf Walk” Tunnel at 5:45pm to cheer on our players as they take the field to warm up for the last home game of the season against Pinnacle. Students who participate in the Wolf Walk must purchase a wristband in the bookstore before 3:00pm Thursday. Line-up begins at 5:30pm, and students will receive early bird entry into the stadium and VIP student seating immediately after the players enter.

WORLD LANGUAGE EXPO
On Friday, October 27th, Chandler High School celebrated its 10th annual World Language Expo. Students did an amazing job showcasing their linguistic/cultural knowledge via song, dance, games, and more. CTA Liberty’s dual language 2nd graders even performed a song and dance. Thanks to everyone involved for making this year’s expo a success!
FFA CONNECTS WITH ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS
Chandler FFA taught pumpkin lessons to 52 CUSD elementary school classrooms last week. FFA partners with the Arizona Farm Bureau to teach agricultural literacy. FFA students read students a pumpkin book, taught them the life cycle of a pumpkin, and assisted students in creating a pumpkin life cycle bracelet. Zach Bowers and Faith Everett are pictured teaching elementary students about the life cycle of a pumpkin.

IMPACT CHANDLER SCHOLARS FORMS DUE TODAY
On Monday October 23rd, all ninth graders attended a presentation on the Chandler Education Foundation’s IMPACT Chandler Scholars Program. This program is a recognition reward program for CUSD students that demonstrate academic excellence, exemplary attendance, and a commitment to service in their community. To start the eligibility process, students must complete and submit the Student Participation Commitment Form during 9th grade within the enrollment period of October 23 – November 6. COLLEGE PRESENTATIONS
All college visits will take place in the CHS College & Career Center, unless otherwise specified. Students should sign up outside of the College & Career Center to attend a presentation. They will receive a pass in class on the day of the presentation.

CARE CENTER THANKSGIVING donations needed
Each year our student organizations join in a campus-wide effort to collect needed items for the Chandler CARE Center’s Thanksgiving Family Assistance Day. Community donations of canned goods, boxed goods and toiletries can be received in the front office between now and Wednesday, November 15th. Thank you for your support!
