Field Day Information

FRIDAY, JUNE 4

Rain Date - Wednesday, June 9

Even though our Field Day will not be our traditional celebration with bouncy houses and a DJ, Mr. Molnar and Mr. Morales have been hard at work planning a fun day for our students.

  • Our in-person learners are reminded to bring extra water bottles, hats, sunscreen and a towel if they would like for Field Day.
  • Our remote learners will be able to participate in activities at home. Family members are welcome to join the fun!
  • Homeroom teachers will facilitate a collaborative game between remote and in-person students as a class-building activity.

End of Year Celebrations (Grades 3, 4 and Mrs. Peters)

Remote students are invited to come to school for a quick get-together with their in-person classmates and homeroom teacher(s) to celebrate the end of the 2020-2021 school year.

  • Please see the schedule below for the specific date and time for each homeroom section. There is also a rain date for each day.
  • Remote students are encouraged to attend, but it is optional. No RSVP is required.
  • Parents/Guardians should wait in our parking lot while the students spend time with their classmates and teacher.
  • Masks are required.
  • Remote students can also return their Chromebook and charger if they have another device at home that can be used for the remainder of the school year (otherwise devices will be collected starting June 22). Please include the Chromebook Return Form with the device. If the document cannot be completed in advance, there will be copies available at the school that parents/guardians can fill out while the students are with their teachers.

The Moving Up Ceremony will be held virtually on Thursday, June 17 at 9:30 AM.

  • An invite will be emailed to you containing the link to your child's homeroom celebration.
  • A recording of the ceremony will be emailed after June 17.

The 5th Grade Celebration will be held on Friday, June 18 (rain or shine).

  • Remote students will come to the school during their homeroom's designated time and meet their classmates outside to take a picture with their teachers, collect their yearbook, t-shirt, lawn sign, and certificate, add their thumbprint to our fifth-grade mural, and enjoy a treat from the ice-cream truck.
  • Please complete this form if your child is remote.
  • Remote students can also return their chromebook and charger as long as they have another device that can be used for the remainder of the school year (otherwise devices will be collected starting June 22). Please include the Chromebook Return Form with the device. Returning Chromebooks/iPads

Students are required to turn in their Chromebook and charger at the end of the year (except students participating in the Extended School Year, Summer Literacy, Summer Enrichment or ESL Summer programs).

While all ipads from JMP should have been returned, if you still have an Edison iPad, please bring that device along with the charger when you return your child's chromebook.

In-Person Students

  • Homeroom teachers will oversee the device collection of our in-person students. Parents/Guardians of our in-person students do not need to do anything regarding device returns.

Remote Students

  • Remote students can hand in their Chromebook and charger during the End of Year Celebrations ONLY if they have another device at home they can use for the rest of the school year.
  • Devices and chargers can also be turned in after school ends on June 22 through Thursday, June 24.
  • Please complete the Chromebook Return Form at home prior to returning the device. We will have the form on hand if the form cannot be completed ahead of time.

Instrument Return and Registration for Band/Strings 21-22

Please click on the link below to access the JMI Instrumental website where you will find:

  • Directions on how to return your child's band/string instrument.
  • Directions on how to register your child for either band or strings for the 2021-2022 school year (current 3rd and 4th-grade students only).
