Candles at Historic Arkansas Museum

Arkansas A+'s first Virtual Field Trip

Big image

Calling all A+ classrooms!

On December 8, Arkansas A+ (ARA+) will host its first virtual field trip. What does that mean? ARA+ will broadcast a Google Hangout on Air - live at the Historic Arkansas Museum (HAM), learning about candles and pioneer ingenuity for the candle.

Although the number of viewers is unlimited, the Hangout can host up to five classrooms in the live event! What does that mean? Your classroom would be in the Hangout on Air and be able to interact with the docents of HAM. If you are interested in being one of the participating classrooms, please contact me through a personal email before December 2 so you can receive a loan box with items featured in the field trip.

This event is happening live - you can watch it as it is happening. But if your schedule does not allow you to watch it live, Google Hangouts on Air are recorded and become an instant YouTube video! We encourage all A+ teachers to consider viewing the field trip at a time that best suites your holiday schedule.
