In Person Advisement- Monday, February 27th, is an in-person Advisement from 8:30am-11:30am at Creekside Education Center (3387 Barranca Parkway).

You don't need to bring any supplies, but wear clothes appropriate for physical activity and bring a jacket.


Abilities Awareness Event and Community Resource Fair- Join us Wednesday, March 15th from 5:00 pm - 7:30 pm at Northwood High School. This event is intended to bring all of us together including community resources that support inclusive practices in Irvine to celebrate, connect, and inform. Additionally, the event will include music, performances, an art gallery, and more. Food will be available for purchase via food trucks.


IUSD Science Fair Winners- The 42nd Annual IUSD Science Fair Awards Ceremony took place on Wednesday, February 15th at Jeffrey Trail Middle School. We are excited to announce that Sylvia Liang earned Honorable Mention for her project Factors That Affect Plant Growth and Joshua Pillai earned First Place for his project Novel Bilayer Elasto-Hydrogel Adhesive Film for Facilitating Wet-Occlusive Therapy for Atopic Dermatitis and will advance to the Orange County Science and Engineering Fair (OCSEF).

IUSD’s Irvine Family Resource Center is currently offering Parent Enrichment workshops. You can find more information regarding their upcoming Parenting from the Heart workshop Click here for flyer. Additionally, the IFRC will be hosting a Virtual Mental Health Presentation on March 7, 2023 from 6 p.m.-7 p. m. on “Helping Your Child Thrive In An Upside-Down World”. In this presentation, Dr. Peter Nierman, Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist from Aliso Ridge, will discuss ways for parents to help their children navigate a rapidly changing world. Dr. Peter Nierman hopes to increase awareness of the unprecedented challenges faced by students today and provide strategies for optimizing effective parenting. Irvine Junior Games- Registration is open for the Irvine Junior Games track meet. The Junior Games will be held Sunday, May 7th at Irvine Stadium. Families who are interested simply need to go to https://irvinechildrensfund.org/irvine-junior-games/ and sign up. Registrations are limited and close on March 17th – the sooner you register the better! For those who don’t know, the Irvine Junior Games are a one-day track and field event for 4th-8th grade IUSD students On May 7th. Proceeds from registrations go to the Irvine Children’s Fund. Irvine Parent Education Programs (IPEP)- FREE seminars and educational workshops offered to Irvine parents throughout the school year. The goal is to empower parents with the skills and strategies necessary to become active participants in their child’s education. Ethnic Studies Parent Committee Members Needed- IUSD is looking for parents to collaborate on the planning and creation of an Ethnic Studies course, a new California graduation requirement for the class of 2029-30. The Ethnic Studies Committee will come together to create a cohesive vision and identify next steps for implementation.

If you are interested in joining the Ethnic Studies Committee, complete this interest survey. We will reach out to you for more information once we finalize the participant list.

IUCPTA Scholarship- The scholarship will go to graduating seniors and will be used towards continued education after graduation. Recipients must attend an accredited college/university, community college, trade or technical school within the first year following high school graduation.Qualifications: This scholarship recognizes students who are PTSA members and whom have performed service activities inside and outside of school.
