Greece and Rome
Government
Most of the city-states were monarchies and were ruled by a king while some of the city-states were oligarchies and ruled by the powerful and elite members of society. But, Athens had a democracy which means that the government was ruled by the people. Another government in Greece was a Military government.
Contributions
Rome contributions include a basis for many codes of laws developed in European countries. The Romans also contributed literature such as fiction, history, poems, stories,and dramas. Greek contributions include theater, the Olympics, and medicine.
Architecture
Greek architecture includes the Doric, Ionic, and Corinthian columns. Roman architecture includes the dome, aqueducts, and concrete roads.
Mythology
Greeks believed that there was a god for every aspect in life. For example the believed that Zues was the god of the sky, Posiden was the god of the ocean, and Hades was the god of the Underworld

Famous people in Rome included Emperors such as Cesar Augustus, Nero, and Trajan
