Beautification Committee

Committee Purpose & Mission
The purpose & mission of the Beautification Committee at IEJ for the 2016-17 school year is to ensure that the physical learning environment at IEJ matches the purpose, passion, & creativity of the people whom it most affects - our students! Simply because IEJ is an older building, does not mean that our building (inside & outside) cannot be transformed into an inspiring learning space. The Beautification Committee will work hard this year to ensure that beautification is a priority in the learning process!

Sponsored by the Laurinburg/Scotland County Area Chamber of Commerce's GREEN Team, the Green School Jam Challenge recognizes those schools that make an extra effort to teach their students the importance of recycling and taking care of our environment. See attached information to be completed during committee meeting today (due date October 31, 2016). Committee chair should bring completed application to Dr. Hemphill submission.
IEJ Courtyard Beautification Project
After reviewing the committee minutes from September, the Beautification Committee is interested in adopting the courtyard as a project for 2016-17. During the committee meeting today, work together to develop a specific plan with timelines, dates, & responsibilities for transforming this space. Clearly define resources (human & physical) needed as well as target dates to accomplish phases of this project. Below you will find the information for the beautification grant shared last month that may be of particular interest as well. We look forward to reviewing your plan! (:
