Week 1 - 8/10/21
2021-2022 Cypress Creek Middle School Theme
First Day Procedures - August 10, 2021
On the first day of school, rosters will NOT be posted, please make sure that your student either has a copy of their schedule printed or available on their smart phone. Adults will be stationed throughout the campus with rosters to direct students who need help.
Like last year, we are requesting that all students when they arrive to school, grab breakfast and eat it in either the courtyard or their classroom. Due to the rising numbers of COVID cases, we are still putting measures in place to limit students from congregating.
During the 1st Period, all students will receive a new schedule that will be YELLOW. This is the schedule that they are to follow from that point forward. Announcements will be made during 1st Period for students to report to the media center if they have a hole in their schedule (ex. missing a 3rd Period), in a class they have already taken, and/or an 8th grader who does not have a class he or she needs for promotion.

Car Drop-off and Pick-up Procedures
In order to keep traffic from backing up on Old Pasco Rd, please utilize a snake pattern when dropping off and picking up your student from our school. The snake pattern is labeled with cones and arrows in our parking lot. In addition, we ask that you follow the following procedures for drop-off and pick-up.
Car Drop-off: Students are welcome to enter the school at 8:10am. If you arrive earlier than 8:10am, please remain in your car until a staff member releases the students from the cars at 8:10am. Once drop-off begins, please make sure your student exits the car quickly to ensure everyone gets to school on time.
Car Pick-up: All parents must have their student's first and last name listed on the dash of their car during pick-up. This will enable our staff members to read and call student names so they can exit our gym. If you do not have a tag it will slow down the car line as the staff member will have to ask each family for their student's name.
Student Locker Distribution
Students will be able to choose their locker from the available selection by the order of the purchase date (first come, first serve). If lockers become limited due to an abundance of purchases, the administration will notify CCMS families.

Free Meals
We are pleased to announce that breakfast and lunch will continue to be offered for free to Pasco County students for the 2021-2022 school year. To qualify, students must select a complete meal. Information on what makes a complete meal is available on our website PascoSchoolsFNS.org and is posted in all school cafeterias. Snack and a la carte items will be available for purchase.
Application
The 2021-2022 Free and Reduced Meal Application is now available at www.PascoSchoolMeals.com. Currently, all students are eligible to receive free breakfast and lunch, regardless of their eligibility status. However, we still strongly encourage you to complete a new meal application if your household still qualifies. Schools receive a portion of their funding based off the percentage of students who qualify for free or reduced-price meals. To review the eligibility guidelines and complete an application, please visit www.pascoschoolmeals.com.
