October News & Notes

Meadowview's Monthly Newsletter

Our Walk-A-Thon was a HUGE success! Thanks so much to all the volunteers and parents that came out to help, walk, and cheer on our students! We raised $11,453.18 surpassing our goal of $10,000! Our two top earners each raised over $400! Every single penny will go right back to the students, teachers, and community! All the funds are used for field trip fees, assemblies, STEM equipment, after school clubs, teacher grants, and teacher funds.

Our PTO Board, all volunteers, planned the Walk-A-Thon with several teachers and have planned the announcement assembly as well as our celebration party! We will announce all our top earners & winners at an assembly on Friday, October 5th at 2pm in the gym.

We'll celebrate on Friday, October 12th from 5:00-6:30pm. Weather permitting it will be outdoors on the blacktop by the east playground. We'll have pizza, lemonade, and water. The playground will be open and sports equipment out! And, best of all, it's all free!

We greatly appreciate responses to make sure we have enough food, but a response is not required for attendance.

Hope to see you all there!

Parent Teacher Conferences

You'll be receiving information in a separate email about parent teacher conferences. You will be signing up online for time with your child's teacher. This is a great time to learn about how your child is doing academically as well as socially. Please be on the lookout for that information. Conferences will be held Monday, November 19th from 3pm to 8 pm and Tuesday, November 20th from 11am to 4pm. If you are not available those two days, you will have to make arrangements with your child's teacher for a phone conference or a time to meet before or after school.

Our Fall Book Fair will be open these two days as well! You'll want to stop in and stock up on holiday gifts! Proceeds will directly benefit our PTO and the events they provide our students!
