Cafeteria Duty During Thanksgiving Feasts
Write Score Write- Grades 3-5
Teachers giving Write Score should have received login information from Write Score. If you have not received your login information, please let Stephanie Haga know. Also, please login and check your rosters by 11/13. These are tied to eSchool and will update as new students are added. We particularly want to know whether students who are in advanced or accelerated ELA are showing up.
Go to portal.writescore.com to login. Then select "rosters" from the menu on the left side of the page.

Thanksgiving Feasts-Repeat
The schedules are linked below. Please note which tables your class can sit at and what time your class will eat. This does not necessarily match your regular lunch time. There will be signs on the tables to help direct you and your students. We will have two lines open in the cafeteria on these days as well. The schedule indicates which line each class should go to, this is just to help evenly split the lines.
On the day when your class is not having Thanksgiving Feast, you will need to eat in your rooms or outside if the weather is nice. Students buying lunches will come to the cafeteria earlier in the day to pick up a jamwich or yogurt pack. Those will be the only lunch options on that day.

My #1 Non-Fiction Reading Intervention- PAWS PD
Do you have students who struggle to comprehend nonfiction text, especially in science and social studies? Do you want to provide rigor to students who need extension of their nonfiction comprehension skills? Come to my PAWS PD to learn about a research-based nonfiction instructional intervention to help students (low and high performing!) enhance content area learning. Students are engaged by working in small cooperative groups to deepen their comprehension while learning skills and strategies as they activate prior knowledge, make predictions and connections, understand vocabulary, summarize, and monitor their comprehension by asking/answering questions about the text. Collaborative Strategic Reading is a great way to get students to own their learning, not only in reading, but in science and social studies, too!
