Language and Literacy
ELEMENTARY
Both High Frequency Words and Letter/Sound Identification resources have been updated. While the words have not changed, you will find new direction sheets, word lists, score sheets, and study flash cards that hopefully are easier to use for both the learners and the educators.

Last week, a group of 4th and 5th grade educators met and unanimously decided that they would like to use the 4th grade STAAR rubric to score the district writing assessment. Links to the rubric are now up on the Universal Screener Page. Any campus or grade level team that would like some additional support in using this rubric may contact Heather Cato at hcato@coppellisd.com.

RtI 2.0
- The Building RTI Capacity project at The University of Texas at Austin is funded by the Texas Education Agency. All materials and resources are on their project website, http://buildingrti.utexas.org, and available at no cost.
They just announced the availability of their Providing Instruction in Teacher-led Small Group module. To access the module, visit http://buildingrti.utexas.org/teacher-led-small-groups/. Please feel free to share this with your teachers as a great flex opportunity. The description is below.
Assessment:
K-2 TEMI MATH ASSESSMENT
At this time, all campuses have their TEMI tests and testing administrator manuals. Please feel free to copy additional manuals/test booklets, as needed, or counselors may contact Debbie for a meeting time to pick up additional items at Brock. If making copies, please ensure they are made by campus staff only to maintain test security.
TEMI tests are secure and may not be shared. We will be using the same test next year and need to maintain the fidelity of the data derived from testing administrations.
To help educators with parent conferences about the TEMI data, the math coaches will be developing talking points for educators to use during fall conferences.
Campus counselors will return all TEMI testing materials to Brock when the K-2 testing window closes. Student TEMI tests will be kept for five years and then shredded.
K-8 ISTATION
Technology is working with iStation to load class lists. Due to the many class changes during the first few days of school, we are waiting to load updated lists later this week or the beginning of next week.
