Parkville HS National Honor Society
Laura L. Revere chapter
Who are we?
In 1921, the National Honor Society of Secondary Schools was founded by the Association of Secondary School Principals. At present, it is estimated that more than one million students participate in NHS activities. NHS chapters are found in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, many U.S. territories, and Canada.
The first screening for members of the Parkville Senior High School chapter of the National Honor Society occurred in February of 1957. In 2017, the chapter changed its name to the Laura L. Revere chapter to honor the previous advisor. Ms. Revere led the NHS for more than twenty years. She leaves behind a legacy that embodies the very ideals of NHS. The expectation of excellence and the desire to do good with what we have been given.
The present adviser is Mrs. Melyssa Kenney. A faculty council selects students for membership. The National Honor Society recognizes students who have demonstrated outstanding scholarship, leadership, service, and character.

How can my organization or I donate money towards Parkville HS NHS service projects?
If you are interested in helping our organization, we are able to take donations via check. The check should be made out to Parkville High School National Honor Society. With it should be a letter that mentions that your organization is donating towards NHS community service projects. Once a donation is received, we will provide you with a letter of thanks that can be used for tax purposes. We would also be happy to give you a “shout out” on our social media and provide you with pictures of the service project in action.
