Principal's Message
Hello Preschool families! Happy Friday!
Wow! What a great week! Our students continued their exciting studies about Gardening and Insects. They are watching their classroom gardens grow and going on insect scavenger hunts-so much fun!
I want to take a moment to thank everyone who joined us for our first Virtual Family STEM Night last evening. We had a great turnout, with more than 50 families participating! The children looked like they were having so much fun and it was so great to see their excitement about the activities! I want to thank our partners at the University of Tennessee, Rebecca Layton and her pre-service teaching students! Without them, this event could not have occurred. We thank them for the planning, materials, and implementation of the event! Please be watching for a survey to provide feedback about this event. We are always looking for ways to improve and grow in order to better serve you and your child.
Please be sure you have provided your child’s teacher with an extra set of clothing that is appropriate for the warmer weather. Also, continue to dress your child in layers so he/she may be comfortable no matter what the TN weather may bring.
One reminder: Please remember that students are not permitted to wear flip-flops or other shoes that do not have a back on them. This is for your child’s safety. We appreciate your cooperation!
Next week we will hold our annual Child Find and Pre-K Round-up. This our largest student recruiting event, and we look forward to meeting with our new families. We are enrolling now for the next school year. Please spread the word to your friends and family that the time is here to enroll in preschool for next year!
Have a wonderful weekend!
