SCUSD Safety Notice
We are reaching out to you regarding a serious concern. In many neighborhoods surrounding our schools, students congregate in nearby private businesses and parks. The prevalence of violence, fights, drug use, and other altercations involves not only students, but also non-students and even adults.
Our District has dispatched community organizations, District security personnel, and school administrators to help address these issues. Despite our best efforts, the number of individuals involved has continued to grow and violence intensifies.
We encourage you to discuss this matter with your student and emphasize the importance of not spending time in these areas either before or after school. If your child needs somewhere to go, please inquire with the school office regarding after-school programs that can provide academic, leadership, tutoring, and enrichment opportunities. In addition, schools offer diverse extracurricular and athletic activities. For additional details, including enrollment requests, please contact the school.
The safety of students is very important to us, and we are committed to preventing situations that jeopardize their well-being, but we cannot do this alone. Your trust and support is appreciated, and your collaboration to keep our students safe is necessary.
Fall Fundraiser
Hello Caleb Greenwood Families,
A huge thank you all who have signed up to volunteer at the Fall Fundraiser next month. If you don't already know, Caleb Greenwood has been invited to host a Fall Fundraiser at the Old Sacramento Schoolhouse Museum on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays and Sundays during the month of October. During those weekends, 70% of the pumpkin proceeds will go towards our beloved school! The best part - our children's participation is encouraged! With that, it offers an opportunity for them to practice IB Attributes such as being Open-Minded, Communicators, and Risk Takers. If you or your family would like to volunteer for this unique and fun opportunity, we encourage you to fill out this form.
Please keep in mind we are still in need of volunteers for the following dates and times.

Jog-a-thon, October 14th
Please join us on campus the morning of October 14th (schedule by class coming soon) to cheer on your Caleb Cougars as they run the track for our school's first fundraiser! The Jog-a-thon is an amazing event that brings our Caleb Community together, and this year families will be welcomed back on the track to show their Cougar pride and support our awesome students and staff. The Jog-a-thon is an incredibly important fundraiser for our school, helping to support all of the enrichment programs that help make our school an incredible place for our IB learners. Be on the lookout in the coming weeks for information on how your student can participate in the Jog-a-thon fundraiser and for volunteer opportunities. We can't wait to see you all on the track!
