January
It is hard to believe that January is almost over! It has been a busy month. We started the month with finishing up last quarter Passion Project presentations. Students then chose their new passion project for this quarter.
In grade 5, students are either working on the Exploravision competition or the Future Engineers-Future Creature Challenge. Both are due the week of February 8th. Exploravision is a competition where the students invent something that solves a problem of today but needs future technology to exist. The Future Creature Challenge is a competition where the students choose a tropical rainforest animal to learn all about and then change it based on climate change. Grades 6-8 are working on a science fair. They have chosen a question to investigate and are beginning to plan their experiments. It is going to be a busy month!

Charge the Chromebooks!
Please make sure your child gets in the habit of charging their chrome books each evening. It is important that they come to school prepared and the chrome books are as important to class as bringing paper and pencils. They will need their computers to fully participate in instruction in most classes.
