Happy Friday Kipling Families,

Although it was a short week we had a great time at Kipling these past three days. The kids were so happy to be in their pjs today and so excited to show off their stuffies. I am always very proud of how hard they work to earn these school wide rewards. Even when they are not focused on earning Kip cash, there are examples of students helping each other, being kind to each other, and looking out for each other every day. “Catching” them in these acts of kindness is the best part of my day. My parents always taught me that your character is defined by how you act when nobody is watching. I believe it is a John Wooden quote, but all I know is that it has always stuck with me. Thank you for partnering with us to help our students learn, grow, and develop their own character.

All my best to you and your families over the weekend!

Respectfully,

Mr. Matthew O. Lombardo, NBCT

Big picture

5 Essentials Survey - We need at least 20% Parent Participation to Generate a Report. We currently have a 10% Completion Rate.

This survey is designed to generate a detailed picture of the inner workings of your child’s school. As a parent, it allows you to share your thoughts on the important elements of school effectiveness. Your responses also help guide district improvement.

To take the Parent Survey, please visit https://survey.5-essentials.org/Illinois/ and select the appropriate survey to begin. Your identity and responses will be kept completely confidential and will not be connected to you or your child. The survey should take no more than 5-10 minutes to complete.

In addition to parents, teachers and 4th through 8th grade students will also be responding to this survey. Per school board policy 7:15, you may opt your child out of any survey. If you would not like your child to participate in the 5Essentials Survey, please contact your building principal no later than 2/10/23.
