Principal's Message
I am excited to announce that we will resume in-person instruction for select students starting February 1st, 2021. Even though our faculty and staff would love to have all our students return, we are limited by New York State and District guidelines because of the Covid-19 pandemic. Therefore, we have limited seating capacity and are permitted to allow only a small portion of our students to return to the building. Consequently, we met as a faculty and staff to review multiple data points to ensure that we extended this opportunity to students that would benefit the most from in-person instruction. To be clear, we examined students’ attendance, academic progress, and academic classification. We contacted parents to inquire whether they were interested in providing their child with the opportunity to return to the building for phase-one reopening. In addition, all families were mailed a letter regarding their student's status for reopening. Students that were not initially selected to participate in the phase-one reopening were placed on a waiting list, pending future availability. If you are unsure as to whether your student is on the return to school list, please call the school at 816-4250 to confirm. Rest assured, whether attending school virtually or in-person, our teachers are committed to providing an equitable experience for all students. We understand that these are difficult times, and we thank you for continuing to make learning a priority in your homes.

Assistant Principal
I am excited to take part in the phase-one reopening of our school. Under the guidance of Mrs. Cullen and district personnel, our faculty and staff have worked diligently to implement a comprehensive reopening plan to safely return to the building. I am excited to begin the reopening phase; and, at the same time, I am disheartened by the fact that we are unable to fully accommodate all of our students. However, as our nation continues to combat this pandemic, I am hopeful that we will be able to reopen at full capacity.
