Dealey International Academy

August 28, 2022

This week we wanted to highlight our core values as a focus in all we do!

CORE VALUE: LEARNING

I foster a lifelong love of learning by empowering myself, embracing a growth mindset, taking responsibility for my learning, and never giving up.

Our Science classes engaged in learning in a fun and active way by having a STEM challenge to make the longest chain from one single sheet of paper!

CORE VALUE: RESPECT

I honor myself and others by being open-minded and accountable to the value and diversity inherent in each individual.

Our English classes engaged with the theme "putting the unity in community" and represented this respect for others within the community using Play-Doh!

Core Value: Community

I foster partnerships by combining strengths, establishing support systems, and acknowledging and restoring hurts with a shared vision.

Our students participated in Broomball and Roller Skating events to build relationships and encourage community fun!

CORE VALUE: RESPONSIBILITY

I take ownership of my actions and consequences, manage my time effectively, and take care of self and others with integrity and pride.

Our NJHS students spent their Saturday morning packing food for "Feed My Starving Children".

CORE VALUE: PEACE

I contribute to peace by actively listening to others, openly communicating and collaborating, practicing grace and courtesy, and embracing inner calmness.

Our advisory classes are building relationships with one another and they are practicing open & meaningful conversation with peers.

CORE VALUE: EXCELLENCE

I achieve the best version of myself through discovery, commitment, diligence, and a growth mindset.

Our middle school teachers participated in professional development and planning for excellence for our wonderful students!
