Hi! I am here to give you advice to be a better student. Some kids do not respect their teachers. Teachers should be well respected because they teach you. It requires a lot of patience and planning. Why would respecting teachers make you a better student? I have many reasons. You get better grades, your parents will be proud, you have a happy teacher, then eventually, you get a pizza party! Here's some ways to respect your teachers:
1.Follow directions carefully.

Book Review by Callie Scroggins
Since it is around the time for me to read a Halloween book, I pulled out The Best Halloween Ever. It is written by Barbara Robinson.
This is a hilarious story about the Herdmans, the worst behaving six kids in town. They do terrible things like sticking so many kids in a revolving door it has to be taken down, placing guppies on pizza where anchovies should have been, and everyday normal stuff like teasing, beating up kids, and lying. This story also includes Beth and Charlie, a brother and a sister who know you better not mess with the Herdmans. In this story Halloween is cancelled because so many people are tired of having the Herdmans about town doing things like stealing kids' candy and spray-painting kids. This leaves kids around the city not knowing what to do with themselves Halloween night. Luckily, Principal Crabtree decides to have a Woodrow Wilson Halloween. The Herdmans claim they will not be there, but will they stay true to their word? Many suprises await, but in the end it all balances out to be the best Halloween ever.
I reccomend this book to two year olds as well as eighty year olds. This book is so funny and it's by a great author. Make sure to read this book!!!!!

Liberty's 6th Grade Honor Band by Nives Myers
Mrs. Rakoff, the Liberty Middle School Band director, hosts a special program called 6th Grade Honor Band. The band consists of 6th Graders from Madison City elementary schools that will attend Liberty Middle School the following year. Interested students take a music comprehension test at the end of their 5th Grade year to earn a spot in the band.
The 6th Grade Honor Band is part of the Liberty Middle School Band, which recently marched in the James Clemens High School Homecoming Parade on October 16th, 2014. The parade route started at Insanity Skate Park, went through downtown Madison, and ended at the Madison City Football Stadium. They marched right behind the James Clemens Band and proudly represented Liberty Middle School and its feeder elementary schools. Additionally, the 6th Grade Honor Band had the opportunity to perform along with the James Clemens High School Band during their school’s football game against Grissom High School. This was the 6th Grade Honor Band’s first public performance. The combined band played the school’s fight song, To The Skies, before the game started, as well as throughout the game to motivate the team.
The next big event for the 6th Grade Honor Band is the Christmas Concert, which will be held in mid-December. Be sure to check back for more details!

She likes to listen to kids' whether it is about their problems or if they just want to talk. She says to remember that there are always two different sides to the story.
