Monday Minute

Congratulations to Tri-West on Their Fourth STW Designation
In addition, since their last designation, Tri-West has
- implemented a 1:1 program
- increased the use of PBL through common performance tasks
- increased articulation with elementaries and the high school
- implemented student-led digital conferences
- scored in the top 5 in the state in ELA for both 7th and 8th grade
As with the other Schools to Watch buildings, their staff is willing to serve as mentors to other schools. If you have a question about a particular program, or how a school strives for STW status, you can contact them; these principals have formed their own type of network and are willing to answer questions. You can also find a list of Indiana STW and their profiles on our website.
ICE Grams are Back!
(And, BTW, you can create something like this for your own district with Google forms and autocrat. )

Great Art Project: Paint the Plow
INDOT announces the 2020 Paint the Plow campaign, program designed to promote safety and awareness of INDOT’s Winter Operations all year long.
Middle or high school art classes/programs can apply to paint an INDOT snow plow blade with original artwork to represent their school.
In addition to being seen in full service during the winter weather months, the blades may be used at events within the school’s community to enhance public awareness, promote safety and foster greater appreciation of both INDOT and the school’s art program. Most applications are due March 15. Find the applications and more information here.
