Message From Dr. Corey Ray, Principal
I hope everyone had an enjoyable spring break. April is one of the busiest months of the year so please pay close attention to our newsletters, emails, and other forms of communication for information about upcoming events.
Our annual state testing for our 3rd grade students in the areas of math and English Language Arts will take place from April 25th through May 6th. Your child has been preparing for this very important assessment since kindergarten. You can help your child be their best for this test by following these tips at home:
Have your child go to bed at the same time each evening so that they get 8 to 9 hours of sleep.
Have your child eat a healthy, protein rich breakfast.
Encourage your child to do their very best and reassure them they will do great.
While we are neck deep in state testing preparations and various other happenings, we are also preparing for next school year by creating class lists and teacher assignments. Our teachers develop each class list based upon various pieces of information from academic achievement to citizenship. I am happy to take into consideration any input you may have regarding your child’s placement. Our ultimate goal is to develop class lists which will maximize the classroom environment for all children. Should you have input please email me at cray@rolla31.org. I will reply with a confirmation of receiving your input. If you don’t receive a confirmation email, please call my office.
Lastly, the summer school enrollment period is here. You may enroll your child for summer school by going to rolla31.org and clicking on 2022 Summer School under Recent News, or take a photo of the QR code in this newsletter. Classes fill up quickly so please enroll your child as soon as possible. Summer school enrollment closes on April 30th. Please contact my office if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
Corey Ray, Ed.D.
Principal
