Northwood News August 15
Be Smart. Be Kind. Be United. Be a Unicorn.
Welcome to Northwood!
Dear Northwood Community,
Wow! What a wonderful first week of school we had! Thank you all so much for your support, for following our new procedures, and for having your kids to school on time. It truly has been one of the smoothest starts to the school year ever!
This communication will be sent out weekly on Mondays to help keep you informed of what is happening around Northwood and to share opportunities you to be involved. If you ever have any questions or need anything don't hesitate to reach out. You can reach you child's teacher by email or class dojo or you can call the front office or email me.
Have a great week and thank you for your support!

Peanut Butter Drive Let's join together to support our MacArthur HS Brahmas and our San Antonio Community by donating a jar of Peanut Butter. A donation bin will be in front foyer from August 16th - 25th | Future Brahma Game Mark your calendars and plan to attend the MacArthur HS football game on September 2. There will be a contest to see which school in the Mac Cluster has the most spirit. Wear a Northwood Shirt or you can order a green Future Brahma shirt. Use this link to place your order or get a form from the front office. Let's try to keep the trophy that we won last year! | School Absences Our goal is for all of our students to maintain outstanding attendance (95%). The best way to learn is by being present at school. If you child needs to be absent due to illness, please be sure to send a note to school the day they return explaining the reason for the absence. Absences for illness and medical appointments will be excused with a written note. |

If your child arrives before 7:23 am they will wait in the following location K-1: Cafeteria, 2-5: Gym. Please have your child put a book in their backpack, so they can read while they wait.
